CCAF: Wydad Claims a Second Consecutive Win

Wydad Athletic Club recorded an important 1–0 win over Azam FC on Friday, November 28, 2025, during Matchday 2 of the CCAF group stage. This second consecutive victory reinforces the club’s strong start to the competition and temporarily moves Wydad to the top of its group.
The opening half saw Azam FC dominate possession and apply steady territorial pressure. Despite this, the Red and White remained disciplined, compact, and efficient in managing the Tanzanian side’s attacking phases. Both teams created opportunities, but the match reached halftime with the score still level at 0–0.
Wydad stepped up its intensity after the break and found the breakthrough in the 57th minute. Amrabat, who initiated the move in midfield, finished the action with a precise strike inside the box after a sharp combination play. Lorch delivered the decisive final pass, enabling the Moroccan international to score the only goal of the match.
With this victory, their second in as many games, Wydad temporarily moves to the top of the group pending the result of the other fixture scheduled for Sunday. The win underlines the team’s growing momentum in the competition and strengthens its continental ambitions.
